Keep getting “Press Enter to Align Cartridges” on HP PSC 2210

If you have stumbled here it probably because you cannot print. Let me guess, your HP (Hewlett Packard) PSC 2210 multifunction printer is flashing and the display is reading “Press Enter to Align Cartridges”?
Well you have landed at the right place. It is very easy to fix this problem. All you have to do is:
- Press and hold down the Setup button, then
- Press the Options button
Thius should bypass the print alignment function and allow you to print.

I dug out our old (long-retired) HP PSC 2210 to use its fax feature. I was astonished to find that it “required” ink cartridges to use the Fax and Scan features! So I got free empty/dead cartridges from my local Costco photo center. Then I encountered this “Press Enter…” error. I was about to throw it out the window, when I found this great tip. …cheat code?
